Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 16th December 2019]

3 points, a clean sheet, a much better performance by Gomez and two great goals by Salah but a shocker of a performance.

Happy with that but I would be gutted to lose if I was a Watford supporter. Much better than I expected today even with new manager syndrome.

Edit: Hope Gini's not too badly injured.

You know it's your season when you win a game you could have lost, playing relatively poorly.

70% possession, twice as many corners, more attempts, more attempts on target and a armpit offside goal ruled out.

Because everybody expected us to win by 4 or 5 goals, we automatically think it's a close game when we don't but we were easily the better side and well worth the win.

Well, in the on pitch interview after the game both Milner and Salah said it was a scrappy game and a scrappy win, in as many words.

I'll go with their analysis. :p

I'm not saying it was a perfect performance but I'm not sure we could have easily lost it either. As I said, because it was Watford everybody expected a cricket score so because it wasn't we automatically think we played worse (or Watford better) than they did.
