Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 17th September 2014]

Of all the players I wanted Man Utd to buy, Fabregas was my favourite.
I was gutted when he when he went to Chelsea.
Fabregas would've been perfect in LvG's high possession, fluent passing system.

I know that some people believe that younger players are worth more, but I feel older players who are at their absolute peak are worth more, simply because they can have immediate (almost guaranteed) impact.

Fabregas was a bargain for £30M and with Mourinho at the helm (and with Torres gone) Chelsea should find it easy to win the league this year and next. Torres was the one reason Chelsea could falter. With him gone, I can't see how anybody can beat Chelsea this year.

Needless to say that I have Chelsea envy. :p

yup, the really really awful thing is, Utd didn't have first option of Fabregas and simply turned it down........ that is what is truly gutting.

Every part of Fabregas's game is better than Ozil's, defensively it's night and day, offensively Fabregas is better at everything Ozil is good at and great at all the stuff Ozil sucks at, running with the ball, closing players down, running past players, shooting, set pieces, etc.

Of all the things Wenger has done that have wound me up, turning down Fabregas is the worst, by a mile. It is one of those truly epically awful decisions that will haunt a manager.

Lovren more interested in undressing Senderos instead of doing his job..... has Skrtel been teaching his own, woeful brand of defending in training?
