Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th March - 18th March 2015]

MUFC

United: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Fellaini, Young, Rooney. Subs: Lindegaard, Rafael, Blackett, A.Pereira, Januzaj, Falcao, Wilson.

Fellaini starting yet again but hey plus point is so too is Mata. Good to see Pereira and Wilson on the bench, maybe they'll get a look in.

Blind at left back? I know he has played there, but wasn't convincing from what I recall, and Fellaini :(

I guess it could be back to 3-5- 2 with Young and Valencia as wide players....

3-5-2 could be a backward move, and we can't afford to make one of those at this stage of the season.

Would have been nice to see Wilson up front as he can provide that extra pace that Fellaini can't.

oh Im not disputing that - but is LvG thinking the same?

Would have loved to see Wilson stretching the Spurs defence (or at least trying to) but it was always going to be long shot unfortunately

Saints give themselves a chance of taking a Euro spot to the wire, while Man City get a vague glimmer of hope of chasing down Chelsea.

NBC give Forster MoM award personally thought he could have come for cross that they scored from and all the other saves but 1 were straight at him.

nahh not a chance of City chasing Chelsea down, Chelsea effectively have to lose three along with City winning every game for City to get the title

No glimmer in sight for me given City's performance levels for most of the season

I would like a draw now and Liverpool to lose tomorrow. Cement our place in 3rd with a nice battle on for second. Amazing considering how bad we've been for much of the season.

Great reaction from a fan behind the goal after Phil Jones nearly sticks it in our own goal. Head in hands.
