In AVB's defence, I think the only other option was Townsend at LB. You can see why AVB played him but after this performance our youth team left back should be playing from now on.
 
Great half and rather unsurprisingly the strongest our midfield has looked all season. What we lose from Gerrards passing and set piece ability we gain in movement and pace and his absence has helped the whole team today because we're playing as a team rather than through him. Won't be a popular opinion but it's true.

Was going to post something similar, can't decided if the midfield is good or spurs midfield is that bad, bit of both
 
I think we need a third for the win. If Spurs get a goal back our mentality will seriously be tested without Gerrard driving us forward which is certainly something we can't replace at the moment.
 
I had Suarez as my captain but I made Lukaku my captain this weekend thinking Spurs would put up more of a fight and made Giroud my vice! WTF was I thinking!?
