Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16 - 17th March 2013]

We haven't played them at home under Interim so I assumed you meant your lot :)
He gets the luurve everywhere he goes, I believe Inter fans booed him too.

Must win game for Arsenal tomorrow. We need to start clawing back the points between us and Spurs. With it being a must win game, we'll go out and lose pathetically.

/me waves at Leroy, how was your trip to Bayern??...must have been immense seeing Arsenal beat Bayern in their own backyard but sadly not enough to put us in the next round.

Saying that im hoping that our win against Bayern gives us the confidence to go out and wallop Swansea at their own ground...nice revenge for how badly they beat us at Emirates earlier this season.

Need to bag 3 pts as Liverpool are 2 pts behind us now :/ and they did us a huge favour beating Spurs on Monday.

He is adored and not booed by our fans with more than the single brain cell shared amounts Inter and Chelsea :p

We have a fairly decent record v Liverpool at St Mary's but I can't really see it continuing. Can't score at the moment and our defence is always prone to brain fades.

So long as Liverpool don't stick 10 men behind the ball and hoof it at someone quick it'll be a fair game. If they play like QPR and Norwich then they'll win with no possession and we'll look silly (again).

Pingwing? Yeah I detest Southampton because of him ;) :D

Good to know everyone cares :D:p

Munich was awesome. Spent all of Wednesday in the Hofbrauhaus drinking from what felt like a conveyor belt of steins of beer and trading songs with the bayern fans. As result, I have lost my lost and just lost the shake earlier on today :D Awesome stadium, home fans were very, very quiet though which was a disappointment, not a patch on Dortmund fans.

I missed the first goal, the train took longer an extra 25mins to get to the ground  German efficiency? ********!

Regarding the weekend, we've been in this scenario time and time again, pull out a result from nowhere and then go on to lose to some crappy team. Thing is, Swansea aren't crappy and they're at home so I really can't see us getting 3 points. Don't worry though because Chelsea will drop points :D

Chelsea and Arsenal to draw/lose and Spurs to win would make my weekend! Frankly, I cant see it, 25 years of Spurs has taught me one thing, if it can be thrown away, we will throw it away.

I might agree with Tom actually, your nobhead supporters last year have ****ed off now you aren't doing as well

There's been a fairly consistent core Newcastle fanbase on here for a few years but I must admit quite a few new faces came out of the woodwork last season.

Going to be a slog on Sunday but we need a result before we play Man City.

Nah, the biggest one is still around.

:D

It's the same with most teams, bit of success (or a derby day win) and they all show up then disapear as soon as things get tough or go back to normal.

I'm watching Wigan game Sunday, can't really call it. We should win but Wigan are tough at home and we might struggle to get up for it. On the plus side Debu and Gouffran will be fresh so we will have some decent energy in the team.

I'd take a point but would love 3!

HAWAY THE LADS!!!

Glad you didn't get kicked out Hofbrauhaus :D

Glad you had a good time! German efficiency is a complete myth, I have a friend who lives in Germany and he says the trains are terrible, far worse than here.

EFC XI: Mucha, Baines, Gibson, Heitinga, Mirallas, Distin, Osman (c), Pienaar, Coleman, Fellaini, Anichebe

Subs: Springthorpe, Oviedo, Jelavic, Naismith, Neville, Barkley, Duffy

City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, K Toure, Nastasic, Kolarov, Garcia, Silva, Milner, Barry, Tevez, Dzeko

Subs: Pantilimon, Razak, Nasri, Sinclair, Lescott, Clichy, Lopes

Gibson can start against City but not Wigan... :/ Fellaini better actually move and string a pass together today at least!
