Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16 - 21st August 2013]

Clear argument why we shouldn't stop at Hawkeye? Match-changing moment which apparently shouldn't have been (I'm listening to 5 Live, so haven't seen it).

'cause it would ruin the flow of the game and divide football even more, I think it would ruin the game.

Also; if you're listening to BBC Sport, they couldn't make their minds up about the penalty :o.

It's not really a clear argument. Goal-line decisions are a matter of fact, penalty decisions are subjective.

Kosthingy got his toe to the ball however that doesn't automatically make it a good tackle (contrary to popular belief). Despite getting a bit on the ball, the Villa player was still in possession/able to reach the ball had Kosthingy not tripped him. It's one that could have gone either way.

Walcott has done entirely nothing for ages, AOC aside from the first 10 mins had done nothing useful, Santi hasn't done an awful lot, Chesny has been terrible, Ramsey is worthless, why didn't Podolski start. Wenger, here's a hint play a strong team, start the season well and destroy someone, winning 5 games at the end of the season with nothing to play for isn't impressive, doing it today might have been.

AOC has done nothing for 18 months, Podolski was brilliant for the majority of last year. AOC got 3 goals/5 assists club and country last year, Podolski got 17 goals/11 assists.

wtf isn't he on the pitch.

Kos, lol, defence, lol, team, lol. The team were getting angry largely for lots of stupid decisions that weren't bad decisions, Sagna, Wilshire and a couple others went down really easily while a few others were properly fouled.
