Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 21st August 2019]

Who cares what he has to say?? I certainly don’t. He left of his own accord, won his PL title at Utd and fair dues to him.

If anything it was the stuff he said after he got his move. As Rob said, we don’t offer players over 30 long contracts which is fair enough.

I don’t understand why he’s bringing it all up again. Just STFU about it, it’s in the past and doesn’t need to be talked about.

Arsenal are over him, of course it hurt to see him leave but it is what it is.

clearly still a sore point then :p Just thought it was interesting, at the time I thought Man U had wrestled him from Arsenal. Maybe I didn’t read much about it at the time.

How isn’t that just a ******* red card? He’s never going to get the ball so just chooses to shove Torreria into Leno and risking injury for either

Burnley are such utter pricks
Yep it’s the Burnley way, reminds of Stoke under Pulis. Such a dirty team at times especially when they weren’t getting their way.

Hardly lol, but then I remember how sore Spuds fans were when we nabbed Sol Campbell.

The point you failed to grasp is that it’s a moot thing now with RVP. I don’t think anyone cares, it happened a long time ago and that’s it. The fact he feels the need to bring it up shows that he is the one who is a bit sore.

Another 3 points done and dusted. Happy to see Burnley off albeit a tough game.

Sat here in Barcelona watching the game with a few fellow Gooners lol.

That would probably have been the softest red in the season if it was given for that. It would have been a soft yellow.

You aren’t allowed to shepherd the ball, that’s obstruction. The level on contact was low.

How Leno didn’t get a yellow for 50s to take a goal kick at the end is the bigger question I think.

Adrian almost dropped an almighty clanger there.

Lucky to get away with that.

There was no point I was trying to make or grasp. I was merely surprised by how Rvp described what happened and was interested in hearing the inevitable other side of the story. Nothing more to it than that.

Has tackling been outlawed in the recent law changes?

A Southampton player has just been booked for a tackle where he cleanly got the ball, and his boot was next to the ground.

To be fair to Bruce he's done a superb job of making this team his own.

Cannot wait to see this team relegated. Let the club die already.
