Huh, if it hits a players arm and then sits up nicely for a goal to be scored why shouldn't that be disallowed. It wouldn't have happened if it didn't hit his hand... Thats literally the idea of VAR. Stop goals that wouldn't have happened because a foul was committed.
It was the right decision at the end but the problem is I can't help but think that if the FA wanted a City win for whatever reason (generally EPL marketing reasons) they would have just ignored the handball like they did the penalty first half. At this point the FA won't want City running away with the league early on so is it just coincidence they've had two big VAR decisions go against them? I'd rather the referee make decisions on instinct than some hidden director with time to think about it. If we're going to use VAR they shouldn't be picking and choosing big calls like in the Super Cup final and today.

Right decision but still doesn’t feel right. However, if it was a goal against my team, I’d be well ****** off if it was a missed handball.

If someone blasts it at you and your arm is by your side it should be a penalty because your arm exists? You can’t get the full thing behind your back or potentially react if running etc.
This black and white if it hits the arm it’s a foul is garbage (and also not equally enforced as we’ve already seen)
