He absolutely destroyed us when he came on. Sat too deep, as always, every single match he does it and tonight he didn't put together any meaningful pass, didn't tackle, close down or break up play, just created a massive void between the non-existent midfield and Lukaku.

Started the game slowly but from 25 minutes onwards we were the better side even if not at our spectacular best. I can't remember too many derbies at Goodison that have been great football matches though. If anyone deserved to win though it was us and to do it in stoppage time was all the more sweeter after Barkley's tackle. You can forgive the ref missing it looking from the other side but the lino's in a great position and has no excuses. Any sympathy you can have with Dean for the challenge go out the window when he fails to give Barkley a 2nd yellow later on - he's so blatantly kicked the ball away to stop Henderson taking the quick free-kick and Dean bottled it.
On a side note, what the **** has happened to Firmino these last few weeks? He's playing like he was in his first few games for us when he didn't even look like a footballer. Constantly passing to the opposition and miscontrolling the simplist of passes.

Coutinho getting injured happened. He's a completely different player when he plays from the front rather than on the wing.
They were a disgrace, like watching 1980s Wimbledon

I know. He's like the attacking version of Sakho, either a complete disaster or outstanding. Neither seem to have that happy medium where they just plod along playing consistently well game after game.
Just have to hope he finds his form soon because we can't afford to carry anyone when Mane goes AWOL, with Sturridge injured every other game and Coutinho just back.
I don't worry so much about him because even when he plays badly he still looks like he'll create something or score a goal. He could have easily walked away with 2 today and he was our worst player imo. It's just perculiar how he goes through spells where he gets so many small things wrong.
Also he played large parts of last night centrally and still sucked
When he first came into the side he was playing just like this - looked dreadful but at the same time he looked like he had a goal or assist in him. From just after Klopp tookover to these last few weeks he's been excellent though. Hopefully he gets back to that soon.
And because the ref took action nothing will be done either. It's a crazy rule. Hopefully that linesman gets demoted as a result of missing that. You can kind of excuse Dean for not getting it right as he's looking through the back of Barkley but the linesman couldn't have had a better view and didn't have the balls to do anything.
Disgusting tackle by Barkley, I cringed when I saw the replays of it. Should have been a straight red.
