Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 22nd August 2011]

Yeah, and with his other yellow he'd have been off?

I don't think it was marginally offside, maybe we have a different opinion on what marginally means but I thought he was clearly offside.

His other yellow came 7 minutes later though. When you said he should have gone for the tackle on Agger, it reads like you're saying he should have been sent off there and then.

I'd love to know what you class as marginal if having only part of your body in an offside position is clear. You must eat your carrots Tummy :p

I'm on a diet so Carrot sticks are ace :p

I was just getting them mixed up then :p Yep, I was agreeing with you that Frimp should have gone much sooner then he did. I'd also argue that the tackle on Lucas (for his second yellow) should have been a straight red too.

I just watched the Everton vs QPR game on MOTD. Ross Barkley looked like an excellent prospect.

Did anyone else think that his movement, touch and technique were almost identical to Rooney?

Tummy I thought you supported Man U, you have a massive hard on for Arsenal as well.

Sunder vs Newcastle was just noise and fouls.

Still dont know how Pleb missed Larsons super save.

Richardson might have got a penalty as well if he didn't dive like a fairy. Recently refs are turning down valid penalties when players fairy dive. Hopefully they might realise if they play more honestly they might actually get a penalty (that or dive more realistically)

Lol @ Bardsley and Cattermole as well. Two of the biggest, most useless cloggers in the league.

We were the better team and deserved the win but could have been a draw. Happy days :D smb's beaten again :D

No Sheffield Wednesday  I know me talking about other sides may confuse you simple folk from Wigan.

Anyway :p several Arsenal posters think I hate Arsenal.

Webb had a poor game just looking at the fouls / cards he didn't give today; horrific tackling. Sunderland could have been doing to 7/8.

I know you support Sheffield Wednesday but you bang on about Man United a lot, now Arsenal.

I can understand how webb didnt see it, a lot of bodies but Larssons on the post, the linesman should have seen it. As soon as one hard challenge goes in, in this type of match it just goes on and on from there!

Agree.

Having said that, Forest were a big club but I wouldn't call them big nowadays.

Oi, we still are a big club and for all the money and how easy UEFA have made the Champions or should i call it, finish somewhere near the top and you can enter League, clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal can only dream of what we have :D
