Hmmm the north London derby??...can see us easily dropping points on this game again or even losing:p.

Meh just dont care this yr how well we do or how badly we do. Our defence is shot to pieces, no one knows how to defend properly as shown in the Fulham game last week..ended up with a 3-3 draw :/

Although for this weekend, ill try and stay positive and hope we beat the Spurs and bag 3 pts as we are fast losing ground on the leaders, not that i expect us to challenge for the title anytime soon:p.

So uhhh yeah COYGS!!!!:p

EDIT: Whats with the stupid sky sports advert running regarding the Spurs and
Arsenal game tomorrow. Neighbours theme song??...really???....cringeworthy beyond belief :/

I started this season with enthusiasm and encouragement with Arsenal's apparent solidity. Now I've descended into last seasons depression again :p

Not looking forward to the game tomorrow. It could go either way but I'm dreading it if we lose (obviously), with confidence already not existent, losing tomorrow will only make matters a lot worse and I fear the home crowd will turn. Oh well, I guess there will be plenty of goals!

Prediction: 5-2 to the Arsenal :D

Indeed and hearing on SSN this morning that we could be without a few key players, although i havent heard anything being mentioned about which players could be out. But im keeping an eye out to see which players may be out tomo.

I reckon it might be a high scoring game as we seem to score goals now ie at the start of the season i was worried because we werent scoring many but since the Southampton game...we have been banging them in although it would be nice if our defence decided to defend and give us a chance to actually win a game. Rather than gifting other teams easy goals :/

Sagna, Theo and the Ox and face late tests but i reckon they should be okay and Sir Chesney might be back.

It wouldn't be Arsenal if we didn't gift teams goals.

The gf is over and being the romantic I am I'm taking her to qpr away... Pretty the words it could be either managers last game explained why that's what she is doing Saturday instead of a nice meal and a film.

Can only hope we play properly which we are learning to do and qpr stay an angry shambles

Rooney and Evans are doubtful and most likely to be out for this game, RvP "should be fit" but it's not 100% that he will be.

Jones will travel to turkey so he's not back for this game either. Rio & Smalling at the back again then.

:D hahaha. Lucky girl! Sincerely hope you win, much prefer Adkins (both as a bloke and style of management) than Hughes.

I have the lonely trip up to Preston North End to make. Sounds sad but I love going away on my own. My girlfriend had planned for me to attend the "bring a boyfriend" day at her netball club... Turns out I would have had to watch alpha girls shouting at each other for almost two and half hours!? Think I may have dodged a bullet there...

Frank Lampard won't be back for the game at West Brom. John Terry will be out for approximately three weeks after the knee injury he sustained last Sunday.

Giroud apparently came back with back and hamstring problems and Arteta was supposed to be struggling with something, it wasn't really said if it looks like either are likely or not likely to start but being Arsenal.... probably not :p

We desparately need a win but, as always I don't see where we'll suddenly improve from, steady decline for 8+ years, it isn't annomylous bad form where a few good performances can suddenly turn the team around. Every problem is one we've had for 5+ years, mentality, defence, dodgy players, Wenger's complete meltdown.

We can put out the odd good performance and you never know, we might win but I'm not exactly, confident.

Spurs didn't beat us from what 02 till 08, 10 in the league in that time in 15 games we won 8 drew 7. Since then in 5 games, Spurs have won 3, drawn 1, and we won that ridiculous game last year.

5 years ago I feared a draw really at worst, today... I think our chances of a win are pretty damn low. :(

:D its what she gets for hounding me of why we aren't spending new years together (got no chance of being able to take her to Arsenal at home and move my season ticket near her so she's being taken to football and told to lump new years). I'd take a draw at this rate and try for a few more home wins but winning tomorrow would be amazing, especially to see the idiot Hughes gets sacked. I liked him at Blackburn and Fulham where he worked with stuff, but spending money is not his thing and has made a mockery of a good wage in football with some of the summer signings.

Preston will be cold and fun :p (or at least a much better option for the weekend!) No one should see netball if there's football to go too

Are you still looking for the first away win this season too? (or is that just left to us QPR and Reading to struggle with)

wouldnt be that surprised if Evans makes a recovery in time, but its no bad thing to give Smalling more game time

I suspect it will be Cleverley and Carrick in the centre of midfield with Young and AV as the wide players with RvP and Chicharito up front in a traditional 4-4-2

Completely agree. That's what I find soooo frustrating, these problems have been here for years and yet we still can't defend as a team, bottle it in must win games or games where we can capitalise on rivals dropping points etc Also, the amount of leads (big or small) we have thrown away in the past few seasons is scandalous!

Spurs didn't beat us since 1993 (or 95) wasn't it?!

Anyway, I really can't call it tomorrow. Spurs have hit a blip, we're not in good shape but in derbies anything can happen as last season's home game showed.

Ahh right, would be good if all 4 of them are fit to play.

Would be good to see Chessers back in between the sticks, maybe our defence will gain some confidence with him in goal....unlikely but one can hope:p

Somebody doesn't deserve their pay check this week, because that Sky Sports advert for the derby is an utterly horrible cringe inducing piece of ****.

Which i mentioned a few posts up:p

Its cringeworthy at best, we may be neighbours but i dont think theres any love lost between us and the Spurs:p.

Seriously though its one of the worst football ads i have seen since being with sky, they must have been bloody bored and someone thought...oh i know they are neighbours so lets put the neighbours theme song when advertising the derby...bloody genius that person is:rolleyes::p
