Stoke's goal from the corner. Gary Neville thinks that was one of the goals of the season so far!

It's awesome. Charlie Adam with the weak side screen, Crouch cuts to the front post to pull his defender away from the area, can't make out who's on the penalty spot but they do a great job of pushing their defender back a few feet to make him think he's making a run.

McCartney is in no mans land because he hasn't pushed through the screen or communicated to try and switch, so Walters is wide open. Walters goes pretty much shoulder to shoulder with Adam as well, perfect, love it!

Tony Pulis is such a retard at times, sets his team out for a point every game, hasnt even tried to go for a winner when the game is up for grabs for both teams. So tactically inept when it comes to going forward, does he not realise that you can knock it to crouch up top but also to his feet, u dont always have to hoof it up to him. Such a ****** with his tracksuit and baseball cap, hes a decent manager to keep you up but will never be enough for a club with actual ambition.

Also, palacios (sp?) is just awful.

Ridiculous game overall, West ham in the first half, lump it long.... lose it, lump it long, lose it.... rinse repeat. There was a point about 5 mins from the end of the half, left back has it, doesn't launch it and you could see Fat Sam at the bottom of the screen yellow and throwing his arm to say "launch it" basically, so he does, and they lose it again.

It was a failed tactic, and actually not the way West ham play best, when Carroll wasn't starting they were passing it more than lumping it up the field and doing well. Sure do it now and then, mixing up your play is important, Barca have no problem launching it up the field, but the same thing over and over when its failed to work even once all game.

Second half almost all West Ham's good play came passing it up the field, it was like night and day, why it took 45mins to change tactics I don't know. Carroll was right to feel aggrieved when subbed, Nolan barely made a pass to his team mates, Carroll was by no means great, but was doing more than Nolan. Diame, terrible first half, put in 15 mins of effort in the second though ultimately most of what he did was scrappy and forceful rather than skilled, then the final 25 mins he did nothing at all.

Stoke.... against a team that didn't show up in the first had a few chances, in the second they looked pretty much crap.

Why some managers think "going physical" and long ball against Stoke will be better than playing their normal way I really don't know.

Was a good freekick, but overly easy and guy on the line should still have blocked it pretty easily.
