Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17 - 19th November 2012]

I'm still not convinced by AVBs management skills yet, he's not motivating the players and he's not found a way for us to play.

Me neither but I also said to myself give him some time unlike what happened at chelsea.

I'll judge him at the end of the season , but I'm fearful:(

Spurs line-up looks pretty decent to me. Can't call a winner, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Spurs win tbh. Arsenal's front three doesn't look particularly menacing to me really, though their midfield does look very strong!

Looks like a strong starting XI from us, nice to see Vermaelen still at left back, anybody other than Santos. Even though I'm not his biggest fan it's good to see Walcott getting a start and at least it means Ramsey isn't being played there. Would've preferred Ox there but whatever. Central midfield looks awesome. :D

This +1

Central midfield looks strong, hopefully we start strong and bag a few early goals to put Spurs on the backfoot.

Hoping Giroud and Pod score a couple of goals today.

COYGS!!!

Asides from Walcott thats basically the best team we can put out these days, just worrying that Giroud, Arteta, Walcott have all had had knocks in the past week and Szczesny, Sagna, Wilshire have all basically just come back from long term injuries.

Ignoring injuries, Kos/Mert/Verm/Podolski/Arteta have been in pretty poor form of late, and Walcott is just rubbish(he may get goals but he doesn't work for the team over 90 mins). We have a team that can all show up on the day and get a result out of most teams, I just can't find myself confident that this particularly line up can perform well most of the time.

I'm glad AVBs gone for the 4-4-2, we now just need to get Assou Ekotto, Parker and Dembele fit again especially to strengthen our midfield.

The problem we've got is we never know how we're going to start and even if we get in front we're always at risk of cracking under the slightest of pressure. Gone have the days we just out scored our opponents to cover up the goals we conceded.
