Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17th - 22nd April 2015]

I was going to ask, what's up with Rafael? Yes, he's a bit rash and a bit of a **** but he's a more than decent RB and surely better than Valencia there.

LvG is super keen on a player doing exactly what he is told and thats not really Rafaels style. It seems that is the reason Herrera didn't play for a while even when he was fit.

Who knows. I don't like LvG's attitude towards players. Much like he just ignored Herrera for months now he's ignoring Rafael and to a lesser extent Di Maria.

I think thats a good thing for the most part. Moyes was scared to drop any big players and we suffered for it. We have been playing the best football we have played for years in the past few games and sticking Di Maria back in just because he cost a huge amount is silly.

Herrera has been playing really well since coming back into the side and he is doing the job LvG needs him to do. I assume LvG thinks that overall, Valencia is a safer bet than Rafael in the system he is playing. I really like Rafael but he is a liability.

United are looking more like the team from a few months ago which is not entirely surprising as this is fairly close to the team we were using then. Far too many passes back

United need top change formation or tactics or something they are playing right into Chelsies hands and will be a matter of time before they go 2 down

Rooney is always too slow and static in midfield. Instead of the ball moving quickly and the midfielders supporting it and making triangles he strokes it to another United player and then trots off. There is no intent from his play apart from the odd cross field ball.

Not that they have any obligation to push out but it feels like Chelsea have 11 men behind the ball most times
