Mourinho should just walk away if he can't work with what he's got. This team is making no progress under him at all, it's awfully painful to watch. I look forward to watching Liverpool/City play than my own team at the moment due to how droll our performances are, even when we win it's so, so boring and slow.

You think martial has been ok? He was utterly useless. You also think not buying a centre back isn’t to our detriment? Did you see the goals?

Hold on... lol I was just saying what he’ll say, and yet not take any blame on himself

Of course we needed defenders, and yes, today Martial has been terrible but then his head is well and truly gone from Utd so it’s hardly surprising

Mourinho bought the two playing. Can you blame the club for not wanting to pay stupid fees on another given how successful they've been?
 
This team is toxic. I actually think the club might be un-manageable at present and I can't decide whether this is because of the manager of or in spite of him. i don't think any of the players have the hunger or desire that Mourinho has and that is fairly fundamental. He's surprisingly never cleared out and there is too much mediocrity still hanging around the club. I would have sold Martial, Mata, Fellaini, Lindelof, Darmian in order to fund a couple of players. None of them are capable at this level anymore if they ever were. Mourinho has seen this coming and the players are proving him right.

I think Mourinho is more to blame than not. Some of the players aren't good enough but Mourinho should have sorted these things out. Fellaini for example he was desperate to keep.
 
Young has been awful tonight as well. Hes just past it unfortunately. Against any half agile players he is too sluggish and one dimensional. You know exactly what hes going to do and most of the time he cocks it up.

You have to ask why he kept Fellaini - sadly he had nothing better to replace him with and in terms of a plan B for what is largely an ineffective Plan A then he still fits the bill. I can't stand the fella but sadly his periodic effectiveness keeps him relevant.

Fellaini is effective because he's a nuisance who can create something out of nothing for a toothless team. Not ideal really, long term.
