Yes but a 25mil striker with a ticking time bomb knee(possibly) for a free? I can understand 10, or 15mil as its more risky, but free. West Ham are in debt, in trouble, relegated and that could also have made them accept a lower fee but a free? I imagine they had no choice at that point and imagine it was a relegation clause in his contract, but what a daft thing to allow in the contract.
