Make jokes all u want Purdy, our midfield have been none existent. The midfield that tore spurs apart, dominated man city for large potions of the game have been torn up so Steven Gerrard can play.

He needs to be injured for us to have any chance of getting 4th as his ego is to big to acknowledge he can't cut it anymore and BR is too weak to drop him

So what happened then? Henderson played the ball, we played some intricate football and finished well.

What did not happen there? Gerrard didn't have a touch and give the ball away.

You would drop Gerrard? Bad game or not, you don't just drop Gerrard.

Like when Chelsea tore us apart in midfield. To be honest I want Allen back over anyone, despite his finishing he was very very good

Gerrard is 1 vs 3,he hasn't a hope, Hendo isn't playing cm and you can't leave one guy at 33 back there especially when there are three people on him instantly.

Kolo has been fairly bad since injury, Glen is terrible since start of 2013, and Cissokho is well....
Kelly isn't a good replacement, when I watched us against Cardiff and Kelly came on he was horrendous. I hope Flanno picks up from where he left off

Wonderful goal.

Not surprised that we're losing this. They're getting 3 on 2 every time they go forward, and their midfield is outnumbering ours. We have to play Lucas, Henderson, and one other in midfield. For me, it's a choice between sacrificing Coutinho or Gerrard, and I know who I'd rather see play.
 
Pk gets it spot on. The gerrard we had isn't the one we have now. He can be good as I said but just seems he fades in and out and now gives it away too often. Good goal from sturridge at right time might give us confidence boost to sort ourselves out. We need midfield control though so Lucas needs to come on
