Why are they doing what most other teams don't, as you say flat back four so sig/Townsend aren't getting forward and they are seemingly insisting on knocking it long to an isolated striker before support streams forward.
Most teams these days(and frankly most/all the best ones) the fullbacks push on to midfield, the wingers push forwards beyond hte half way line, it gives you so many more options for going forward, knock it down either wing and you have fullback/winger to interplay and you have a striker upfront ready to get on the end of a cross and the opposite winger to get in to support the striker, come far post for a cross.
Why stick Soldado so far upfront on his own and Sig/Townsend stay SO deep, it's retarded.
EDIT:- just then before the ball ended up needing a blasted clearance by Loris, Soldado was in the middle, Townsend was bang on the right wing when the guy with the ball was almost at left back. Townsend should be coming way way closer to Soldado when the ball is down the left wing, you can't have any interplay when you guys up front are standing 40 yards apart.....
