Looks like Man Utd and Spurs have swapped places with Liverpool and Soton, take away Soldado and Lamela, the other players they've bought have been good value.

We've completely changed the way we play too

Seriously that was (having missed the first 8 mins or so) the first time I saw multiple Spurs players move, pass the ball a few times, and try some diagonal running and players running in different directions to pull the defence apart. Not surprising it worked, just surprising SPurs hadn't tried that even once yet in this game.

Unbelievable... Kazenga lua-lua now out for a few months looks like. This is starting to get a little far fetched! All of our best players are injured. Expectations have been massively adjusted!

Townsend is carrying on where Bale left off. We def need to get some subs on, we can't afford to lose this.

Just goes to show how much of a one man team spurs were, they look shocking

I didn't think they looked great at the start of last season tbh and dropped loads of points in the last 10 or 15 minutes iirc.

not as much as lamela who can't even get a game :/

tbf townsend is like a new signing. he's putting some dangerous balls in, if defoe was on, i'm sure he'd have been on the end of one of them.

Soldado is really good, but you want wingers actually working with the fullback and central mid to work the ball up the wing and get crosses and throughballs to him. They are currently asking him to do everything. That last Townsend ball that went in where no one was there, Soldado was on the wing because he'd gone over to work the ball in to Townsend.

If AVB wanted a loan striker, he should have bought a lone striker, he bought a finisher and smart player, but wants to play him long balls.

Why Walker isn't working the wing with Townsend much at all, and Holtby is seemingly never anywhere useful I really don't know.
