When you consider the 'tackles' that get 3 match bans, or the violent conduct a bite isn't much worse than those, it is just plain ****ing retarded/weird/cowardly thing to do.

Agree with this. Not sure why a love bite that didn't even leave a mark is worth 2-3+ games more than a potential career ender..

Dutch FA banned him for 5, Ajax banned him for 2 on top of that.

If thats what happened it was the other way around, Ajax came out, got ahead of it and banned him, its quite unclear if one ban had any effect on the other. IE Ajax ban him for 2 games, the league for 7, the 2 game one becomes pointless, or if the league would only have banned him for 5 games had Ajax not applied their ban, or they'd have given him 7 matches if Ajax did nothing.

Either way, Suarez is a joke and he's probably killed any chance of ever going to a "big" club with that move.

IF you are the Real or Barca manager, you want to win the champs league every year, do you spend even 15mil + let alone supposed valuations north of 30mil, on a player who at any given time could miss 5-10 games for doing something truly absurd? How much trust can you have in a player, how much do you want to have a team where Suarez is first team, but when you get to a final, could be serving a lengthy ban because he's so prone to doing stupid things.

This will likely be his what, 3rd 5+ game ban in as many seasons, that is a horrendous record. ultimately for 30mil you can find a striker who scores more, doesn't get bans, doesn't stamp on people or constantly cheat, and doesn't tarnish your clubs name.... why would you ever stump up for Suarez when there are hugely better choices.

One incident, like I said, everyones is allowed one, maybe even two incidents, but at this stage who would put up with his BS? What sane person buys a player who can easily miss 1/4 of the season from a single ban for doing utterly absurd things.

The way Suarez went at him it was tantamount to GBH. Like I said earlier in the thread whilst damage wise it was never going to cause potentially as much harm to the player as a dodgy two footed tackle tackling is part of the game.... Having some little **** biting your arm isn't

You gonna be happy tonight??

We'll see ;)

Neville spoke a lot of sense on the Suarez situation, god he just makes everyone else looking like a ****ing clown in punditry.

There are plenty of tackles that are not just dodgy tackles that are part of the game, clear intent in many of those, elbows to the head or when you try to punch another player, these can all cause as much harm if not more.
