The fact that if it has been considered "seen" by the ref when in most cases the ref obviously didn't see it. Yep didn't read the end of your post....

Just wondering how its embarassing when Liverpool defend one of their own when other clubs do the same thing?

Its not though that's the point!! It could be Wycombe Wanderers donning supportive T-Shirts for a player accused of racial abuse and/or criticising the ban handed out for biting the opposition and it would be equally embarrassing. No one has an agenda against Liverpool only to then turn a blind eye to other clubs misdemeanours its just the fact that at the moment its Liverpool and one of their players who continually find themselves in the centre of these controversies.

Really? Honestly the way the Liverpool fans defend the indefensible on here is beyond a joke. If any of the Arsenal players bit someone I wouldn't have an issue with a 10 game ban and would be disgusted with my club if it came out with the ******** that Liverpool have.

Agree, it's not just on here either.

Finally some common sense prevails.

Indeed.

I imagine he'll be off in the summer now.

That appears to me to punishing the player rather than the incident?

What is this supposed to mean? Are you suggesting that a player that repeatedly commits the same offence, and commits other ban-worthy offences, should be treated the same as a player with a single transgression?

Suarez has been treated differently than other players this is because he has already served a lengthy ban for biting. Repeating the same offence should get him a longer sentence.

It's quite shocking why some people can't understand why Liverpool are defending Suarez rather than throwing him to the lions. He's our star player, he's our most valuable asset and it's already questionable whether we could hold onto him this summer. Let's hammer him, make him feel like we don't support him, making it more likely that he'll want to leave, meaning we're likely to lose our best player and leave us in a weaker bargaining position too. Makes perfect sense.

No club, within reason, would do any different.
Whats that based on robo

I'd guess it's another throw away comment like the other month when he said Suarez was definitely off, which when challenged, it became he might be off if somebody offers massive money and he fancied joining them.

If nobody bids for Suarez then obviously he won't leave... duh. His price just went down a fair bit though.

If the opportunity arises, he'll be gone in a flash. That's my view, obviously I can't say for certain, nobody here can.

There's a big difference between him defintely leaving and him leaving if somebody offers a lot of money. And if his price has gone down then I'd be a lot more confident that he'll be staying then.

And like Purdy asked, what's your view that he'll leave in a shot based on?

There's a large gap between the two extremes of mindlessly support the player and throw him to the lions. All Liverpool are showing at the moment is that Suarez is bigger than the club. If a bit of criticism when he's ******* bitten another player in a match would make him decide to leave then why would you even want him to stay? He's clearly not committed to the club.

Explain how they've done that. They condemned what he done and fined him for it. They've complained about the length of the ban.

It would be easier to discuss these things if peoples views were based on what's actually happened rather than their imaginations.

As you said in your first sentense, there's a massive difference between completely supporting him and hammering him. Liverpool have done neither. We've criticised him but at the same time, we won't hammer him.

On the scale you're almost completely at the end of 100% support, perhaps if you were a bit tougher with him then these incidents that he keeps finding himself in might no come up so often?

Yes, by both the manager and MD coming out and criticising him for what he done and fining him, we've shown 100% support.

Maybe had we been harder on him then he'd be desperate to leave and we'll be left with little bargaining power during negotionations to sell our best player. That's certainly in the clubs interests.

More attractive clubs to play for, possibly more money, he thinks the FA have got it in for him... Take your pick.

He's missing a fair few games every season so far due to disciplinary reasons, which could make Liverpool want to get rid (for the right price) or could equally count against a big club going in for Suarez.

It does seem as if he's almost bigger than the club though, which would alarm me were I a Liverpool fan, thankfully that isn't the case. :p

gobble gobble turkey
