Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19 - 23rd January 2013]

Arsenal, mostly the same as usual, Walcott was far better than usual, while still not doing an awful lot and still with a few terrible shots. I expected 3-4 half decent games after signing the contract before forgetting he doesn't need to try at all anymore.

Diaby, horrendously slow on the ball, terrible passing, lost the ball loads of times, no goal threat, no help defensively, no reason to be on the pitch. Santi was rubbish in the first half and only half decent in the second, much better through the middle, would have started with Arshavin on the wing and Santi in the middle, Diaby is absolutely last resort if everyone else gets shot or something, he's god awful. Frimpong ain't good, but at least he'll put in some fouls and close down more effectively.

It's hard to take that both of their goals were BS, but frankly if they didn't get 2-0 up I don't think they'd have let us back in the game so easily. First half they could have been 4-0 quite easily, second half was like they didn't care, everyone was terrible in the second half, Cole forgot how to defend, Mata got crap, Hazard and Oscar did nothing, Ramires continued to kick everyone. Mata frankly resembled Diaby in the second half, late on there was a clearance from Chelsea that I think that turned into the Cole on Sagna freekick on edge of the box, Mata got the ball, loads of time, guy breaking up the field, and just stood their like a lemon, lost it and gave us a great chance.

AS always its very tough to say, were Arsenal that much better in the second half, or Chelsea that much worse, a lot of both tbh. Sagna still can't defend for ****, as much as the ref was at fault and Ramires was a **** for both goals, Sagna actually playing well and putting in some effort could likely have prevented both, constantly out of position.

Wish I was at the spurs game, was going to buy a ticket from one of these ticket sites was like 170 quid but great atmosphere. Going to become a full member next season
