Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th - 26th December 2014]

Pathetic performance, Welbeck you barely noticed was on the pitch, Flamini shouldn't have been on the pitch for very long and was crap while on it, Ox unlike Welbeck was very noticeable for for how utterly awful he was. As usual there was lots of running but consistently crap passing, running into dead ends, losing the ball too easily. Sanchez was poor and his set piece delivery was shocking. Mert, well I'll say that I was surprised when he started to close down Toure about 15 yards from the Liverpool box. it's not like he was up the pitch from a previous set piece he just decided to run up the pitch and help pressing the ball, was incredibly odd.

If Liverpool weren't quite as **** as they are, if Coutinho, Sterling or Lucas could shoot we'd have been thrashed. Sterling took an absurd number of shots from angles and in situations he shouldn't have even thought about shooting if he was a top striker let alone when he was off form and couldn't score to save his life.

Borini, just hilarious, he could have got a straight red, the first yellow was absurd. That first yellow is the kind that winds me up, 5 mins of extra time left and you get angry at a wrong call and decide the best thing to do is waste time, throw the ball away allowing the opposition to take longer getting the ball back into play and letting the ref waste time booking him.

Disturbing lack of quality from all sides on show today, crap defending all around, so many woeful performances. At least there were more chances in the Arsenal game than the god awful derby earlier on.

Rodgers has supposedly told his press conference that Sturridge will be back after the 'xmas period'. Obviously that's slightly open ended but it sounds more promising than the February Twitter talk.

It will be sad to see Henry commentating on the comparatively dire side that he had so much success at

that MotD analysis was weird.

Every time they pointed out a 3vs4 there was an arbitrary shape drawn excluding an arsenal player who could have made it 4v4

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Mikel, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Hazard; Diego Costa

What a **** Bardsley is.

Have to say, good tracking from the ref.

Edit: LOL @ Mourinho's reaction :D
