Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 5th December 2016]

he never was the special one. he's a salesman who has reached success through big budget and big name players. as a manager and tactical mind, he's way off the pace and always has been

tell me anything, anything you've seen from him that leads you to believe he's the man for the task? all he's done is **** money up the wall

he can't get the best out people, he just gives players who already have the ability big contracts. pogba, martial, rashford all going backwards whereas a decent manager would be progressing them

i think he's lost the plot
What are you baffling about? I support liverpool to start with so how he fails at utd I find amusing. I just remember him claiming to be a special one and he isn't was a dig at utd lol I further posted he can't build teams he buys them. I actually think he is similar to guardiloa so over rated it's untrue another manager who has always gone to clubs with an all ready winning team, who couldn't win with the barca side he had and same with bayern at city he has to rebuild and progress with players that ain't ready e.g. sterling. Both managers will struggle this year I think

That's probably City's title challenge over with their main striker facing a lengthy ban, or at least a big dent in it. Utterly silly of him.

They're 4 points behind Chelsea with 24 games still to go. I think they're probably still in it. Iheanacho is a seriously good replacement as well.

Pogba was fine, as usual he's the scapegoat for some reason.

You have to accept that when you sign somebody for a world record fee the expectation level on them will be far greater than anybody else.

You're right, he was fine yesterday and generally speaking he's played alright since he signed but you didn't pay a world record fee for fine and alright.

I think people were generally expecting him to dominate opposition, take games by the scruff and drag United to wins.

Someone said he was abysmal. People are just being dumb. He's created more chances than anyone else on our team, I'm not sure what people expect really.

Yeah maybe over is a bit dramatic but I think it's still going to hurt them massively. Top scorer for them by a large margin. Going to need someone to step it up.

Did I hear right? Did Jenas (on MOTD2) just say Pogba had a a decent game? I thought I heard him use the word "brilliant".

when compared to Jenas nearly anyone is brilliant..........

Pogba was ok, but nothing remarkable. Nothing un-usual though, for the most part Utd always lose their heads at GP, has happened for the last 4 or 5 seasons (apart from last year when there was an Everton related death just before the game)

Still think Pogba will come good when the team is fit and gelling - couldnt get two or three passes strung together yesterday (thats everyone in Utd shirt, not just Pogba) - he just needs time and for similar talent all around him playing at his wavelength.

Probably one of Darmian's more attrocious games, kept on being left upfield when everton where attacking, and not really adding that much to the side (although he did get booked wrongly it has to be said)

I'm not sure why we're persisting with Darmian being first choice left back, it's just a dumb, dumb decision. He's far better at right back. We rely on the width from our full backs so much and you just dont get that with a right footer at left back. No idea why Blind has been sitting on the bench for 3/4 games.
