Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2 - 3rd February 2013]

LFC team: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Carragher, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Downing, Suarez, Sturridge.

Delighted to see Enrique back because it means we've got more to offer down both flanks with Johnson moving back to the right. Not so impressed to see Downing get yet another game to completely bottle.

he's played an hour for us in total over two games and he certainly does offer something a little different. still, needs more time to give a proper judgement.

I'm not dismissing him, he looks decent but he looks another Parker style player, not a player that will make intelligent late runs into the box and score which you're very much missing in the middle of the park if you ask me.

What's the asking price? I think £40m~ would be relatively fair.

Then again, Spurs could become a fairly big force if they've got enough money to get in a couple of really class players in the summer.

Levy being Levy I doubt he'd entertain anything less than £50m, leaving probably only Chelsea and City as possible destinations and I've never once seen the former ever even linked with the player

i can't see bale moving to another pl club. he'll go to spain if or rather when, he moves on. he's not even in his prime yet and i'll wish him the best when he does go. he's a top lad who deserves to be in the cl.

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta , Nastasic, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Garcia, Barry, Silva, Dzeko, Aguero

Subs: Pantilimon, Rodwell, Kolarov, Sinclair, Nasri, Tevez, Maicon

Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Carragher, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Downing, Suarez, Sturridge

Subs: Jones, Wisdom, Skrtel, Allen, Shelvey, Sterling, Borini

Aguero vs Carragher. :(

And very few players I've seen leave Spurs on big money actually turn out to be worth it. - Modric, Keane, Carrick to name a few.

Carrick has easily been worth it, Modric went to the wrong club, Keane fair enough (although it could be argued he went to the wrong club as well)

Bale needs to go to a club that plays with wingers or a front 3, so if he does go to City then yeah he'll be another player signing for a wrong club, he'd be perfect for us or Madrid though
