Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [20th - 21st September 2014]

This has been the best two hours of TV I've seen since I watched two episodes of Bake Off back-to-back the other week. Great entertainment.

Leicester 5-3 Man Utd

Just a reminder of Louis van Gaal's quotes from the other day:
"I know everything about the team [Leicester], about individuals, substitutes, what the atmosphere will be like in the stadium, how they take free-kicks, everything."
Did he know that Jamie Vardy would tear his defence apart?

The defence weren't that bad up to the penalty in fairness, but the confidence completely evaporated and this is what happens. Car crash.

I will, absolutely. We just have to limp to the January window, worst case scenario.

Doesn't happen a decent defence though, ours was fine the majority of the game and then one bad mistake and they all **** the bed.

You need to spend more money? Maybe give it more than four games to let players play together ?

With a lot of help from the officials

Personally thought this was tailor made for Shaw to make his debut away from the glare of OT, rojo has been pretty weak in a lot of tackles and a bit meh in attacking

With all our defenders fit we can field a reasonably good defence, but we'll need to buy/loan at least one, regardless, I think.

I'm not worried at the moment, the ref has caused this, but it is the defence's fault too.

@FinallyMario: Man utd ... LOL

Wow, really?

That first penalty decision has completely turned this game around, unbelievably bad from Clattenberg.

Saying that, no excuse for United's complete collapse at the back.

Wow, really?

The ref really hasn't, would be like blaming our result largely on the ref yesterday

He can't laugh?
