Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [20th - 21st September 2014]

So many problems today. But I still can't believe he's given Rooney the captaincy. He's as big a burden on this side as Gerrard for Liverpool.

RVP. Absolutely anonymous. Didn't even get his header right.

Yet we leave them two on.

Shower of ****.

The ref really hasn't, would be like blaming our result largely on the ref yesterday

This. The ref made a poor decision, but you were two goals up with half an hour to go. You conceded a further three goals after that decision was made.

As I was saying the other day regarding Liverpool, what the top teams do better than the likes of Liverpool, United, Arsenal currently, is manage matches well. If that decision had happened to Chelsea, they'd have bottled the match up for 15 minutes and killed it totally.

Makes LVGs comments about targeting the premier league look completely deluded.

He thought this would be an easy job. He can be arrogant like that. Don't think he'll be at OT that long tbh.

Positives: scored 3 goals. Di Maria's was superb.

Negatives: defence are on a permanent knife edge.

Going to have to be totally gung-ho in all our games this season and cross our fingers. :p

This is all true, we've got no experience at the back and it all fell apart.

Blackett getting bullied by a lad that's what, 5'7? Pretty poor. Rojo also looks utter gash for a full back that cost 15 million.

We are entertainingly bad to watch at the back, **** me.

hahaha Vardy's response to that question was fantastic...

- "you know when you clearly fouled Rafael then fell over, did you think a free kick was going to be given?"
- "no it was just strength and then he pushed me in the box"

Arsenal don't look so rubbish getting a point at Leicester now. I missed all the goals, what a mad result. 2-1 up as well.

He can't honestly believe that. :p

As much as I enjoyed that the first penalty was a joke and United never recovered, in fact they just fell apart. Shocking defensively. Can't see them coping well against the bigger teams if they keep this up.
