Exactly, if you buy a player who was great last season at a different club and different system and he comes in and looks garbage... how you can suggest it's the player is a bit mad really.

What was Gerrard doing down the wing, no danger but decided to almost stop and just put his arm up like he was Gandalf "you shall not pass", except the West Ham player just went... err, no, and ran past him. Gerrard could have cleaned him out or just got infront of him, instead he made that painfully easy.
Pulis out of a job.... getting an ex manager in as an assistant manager is all the rage at the moment.... Pulis all about sorting out a solid defence and being strong at set pieces. Match made in heaven?

I appreciate the diamond, but it works especially well in matches against teams that expect to beat us. In games like this where the midfield gets packed out, we're far better off sticking Sterling and Markovic/Lallana wide, getting the ball to them and running it hard.
It's not as pretty, but we won't lose the ball in stupid areas, and will stretch the game giving our players more space.
