Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [20th - 25th January 2017]

He was so offside when the ball came in, and had a low head.

Burnley should be ****ed.

Yeah i forgot about the rule that says if a player is offside then you can kick him in the face with your studs.

Also the foot was high regardless of where Kos' head was

Low head, lmfao, he's just dipped down slightly, had he been upright it would've still been chest high.

He was offside though.

Yes I guess it was highish, but not as bad as it's being made out really.

Either way, it shouldn't have been a penalty as he was offside.

To be fair Kos was offside but had he kept his foot down the Burnley defender then they would have a point to take away but meh themz the breakz.

Wenger could be in trouble though for the shove on the 4th official, he was sent off and should have just walked off rather than start on the 4th official.

Its what Kos does against Burnley, we can't go changing the rules, just like the laws of gravity there are laws that Kos follows which can never be changed, Kos will always find a way to beat Burnley this season :P :P :P

Jesus, commentator and other people saying the foot wasn't that high.

Leaning down as in, diving header with head between ankle and thigh high, sure, debatable, leaning down as in head is like 5-10 inches lower than normal... still 3+ foot too high for your foot to be making contact with a player. Had he not been leaning the guy would have caught him studs into the shoulder or upper chest and still a clear foul and high foot.

However he was clearly offside and had the offside been given the penalty wouldn't have been. Xhaka is a donut, Coquelin's tackle was less reckless but still utterly stupid.

We're playing pretty meh against really pretty bad teams, we've dropped points against all but Chelsea when it comes to the top teams. I see absolutely no chance we won't drop a load of points, mostly against the top teams but there will be more performances like this game where we actually drop points rather than fluking it.

We're currently 10th in a table against the top third teams, and we've played less games than anyone else 6, everyone else on 7-9. We're only 4th against the middle third of teams with about the average number of games against them and we're only 3rd against the bottom third of teams. Basically we've had a lopsided season with more tougher games than easy games left to go. We've 1 win in 6 against the top third and that was Chelsea with a hilariously off day. If we maintain that form a top 4 finish will be extremely difficult, zero chance of the title.

Like which? As an Arsenal fan Burnley deserved the penalty and Xhaka deserved the red?

The Xhaka red was debatable in my opinion. Its a stupid challenge but there have been plenty of times this season where yellows have been given for far worse.

The foul on Mustafi inside the area in the first half, thats a penalty that wasn't given.

Then there is the Arsenal penalty, its a foul, but it was offside.

Thats 3 game changing calls, all missed. Not good enough from a top flight official.
