I want you to explain to me how Shelvey is off the ground and Evans has any standing foot, when Shelvey has his back foot on the ground and Evans is in with both feet, studs up.

Just admit you were wrong and be done with it.

Wow, you really really don't have a clue what you're talking about. You can see IN THAT picture, or more specifically you CAN'T see the bottom couple of inches of Evans left foot... did it magically disappear... no, then why is it missing.. Oh right, his foot has already made contact the ground, his studs have dug in, his foot is in the ground.

As for why Shelvey is in the air, simple physics, learn about them before talking trash.

Evans is moving forwards, his leg is crucially AHEAD OF HIM, (a hint for your, momentum is in the direction you're travelling), the force of Evans tackle is now mostly in his own leg in contact with the ground. Shelvey is moving AWAY from that foot that is touching the ground but has no purchase, his momentum is still in the OPPOSITE direction to the TRAILING leg. Meaning ALL his weight is still in the front leg moving in the direction he was moving, not in the rear leg facing the opposite direction.

Most of Evans weight is in the leg with his studs dug into the ground, most of Shelveys weight is in his front leg, off the ground, which also makes contact with Evan's leg half way up his shin.

It's very simple take both of the players away from each other, don't think about either. Evans moving in the direction he was, his foot in the ground, what happens. Possibly his foot slips, it probably will, but players generally stop pretty quickly after this not moving on without slowing down, studs in the ground slows you down, significantly.

Now imagine you're Shelvey, you're running at pace... do you think without Evans there and his momentum carrying him forwards that rear leg has any real weight in it, is it SUPPORTING him or hanging there. Can he use that rear leg's contact with the ground to slow him down, can he stand up by pushing on that rear leg, or to stand up would he need to plant that front leg hard.... is that because his full weight is in the rear or the front leg?

I'm a member of a discussion forum, is this not a discussion point? What is wrong with discussing it?

What's wrong is that the incident happened over a week ago and soon enough you'll have supporters of the two clubs actually involved in said game weighing in going over the same argument's as they did last weekend/early last week leading ultimately to the closure of the thread (not that that would be a bad thing because being this is an incident from over a week ago so there shouldn't be anything left to say on the subject anyway)

Your replies are honestly embarrassing for a moderator of the forum.
