It's like he is slowly by each game having less of an input

Feel sorry for Sterling. He's not Coutinho and he's not the type of player to receive the ball deep or with his back to goal and start moves. He needs the ball played in front of him so he can run on to it and beat one or two players rather than an entire team. Without Suarez and Sturridge pulling defenders out of position he's got no space to play with.
He can't beat one defender on the wing.
Bit harder that one to be fair, first one was down right garbage though

Cutting through our midfield like butter, get Gerrard off, get a decent DM in there, one that knows how to organise. Sterling off, Borini on, and get back to the diamond. As we started playing like that but seem to have reverted back to the 2-3-1.
