Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 25th September 2018]

Even if there was, I would say there’s a 0.01% chance of Arsenal re-signing him. He’s going well past his best, would want a massive wage and he’s hardly Mr Popular down the Emirates.

If you could guarantee he would recapture that Arsenal form, then there’s a chance, but I don’t think he’ll ever hit those heights again. Not worth the hassle of unsettling the squad and costing a fortune. We’re moving on.
Yea agreed, would not want him back either. Same as when Fabregas was turned away.

He will go to China or something like that, can't see any other top side dishing out those sorts of wages based on his absolutely dire performances in the last 6/7 months.

Also... just seen Sakho's miss, LOL, that's right up there with Giggs, Rosenthal and Iwelumo.

If Man United had spent their money more wisely over recent years they could have an ace squad now, they seem to have just thrown hundreds of millions at washed up or overrated players though and De Gea is still carrying them with points-winning saves.

I remember when United fans were accusing Chelsea/Man City of buying trophies and it just goes to show that it's not as easy as it looks.

Uts just embarrassing yesterday. How can you draw at home to wolves?

Lukaku cost more than their entire team, stadium and wags.

Surely you have.to be able to build s we've t team with that amount of money

Well, that was a bit of a bore-fest.

Hoping for more action from the Arsenal match.

I feel like I should have this on copy and paste:

Poor first half from Arsenal.
We only started playing in the last 5 minutes, and the defence is a shambles

Everton had the better of that half, at least as far as solid chances are concerned. Arsenal are unconvincing at the back which isn't surprising because the likes of Mustafi are shockers.

If Lacazette stopped or fell backwards he'd likely have got a penalty. That's why players don't stay on their feet anymore. Even if it is a foul they get nothing.

Hopefully the 2nd half will be copy/paste too: look better, score and then concede silly goal, repeat, nervy finish, but go on to win in the end.

Wow Tottenham hams new stadium still looks like it needs a lot of work. How on earth did they think it would be ready like a month ago?

Maybe it will be ready for 2019. Looked like it didn't even have a pitch yet.
