In the past 5 mins things have improved but the simple things are being executed so poorly. These players are not worse than Stoke but as team units, Stoke are light years ahead.

I complimented Stoke on an incredible defence last week against Spurs but they move forward in a pack too; there is no reason why Liverpool shouldn't be doing that too.

Benefit of the doubt suggests that they appreciate their players putting their bodies on the line for their club rather than applauding an opposition injury.

Edit- the attacker also tried to duck out and led with his head rather than feet.

Not saying its all his fault (its not) but at Boro we had the same problem you have with Downing in that you never know what's walking out down the tunnel. It was obviously more pronounced at Boro because when he was good he was one of our best but he regularly didn't turn up. No one on Teesside was sorry to see him go because he was so inconsistent and Johnston at the time was a much better player. Again he's not Liverpool's sole issue but when he's off you only have 10 men.

Sturridge and suarez will be hilarious together; like having a team of 2 defoes. Will be frightening if they break habits of a lifetime and form a partnership though.
 
Purdy is there a team you like other than Liverpool? You appear to be a fairly angry man in general or you certainly come across that way on these forums:confused:
