Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22 - 26th December 2012]

Good result from Liverpool but Fullham didn't turn up at all, i think they inflicted more damage on themselves than Liverpool did. Would be interesting to see what the result would have been if Fullham actually turned up and played.

You usually that bad?

Haven't seen us play that bad since last week.

We're missing two of our key players (and our only creative outlet except Berbatov) but it can't just be that, two players can't suddenly make us that bad. We've gone from having one of the best defences to the worst. Hopefully get a couple of signings in January to at least boost us.

We were decent and Fulham were dreadful. If there's one way not to set up against us it's with Berbatov up front on his own. We could play our way out of the back all game long without once being closed down or put under pressure.

Possibly the only sensible comment Chris Waddle made all game was questioning our subs. Rodgers rightly said that both Sterling and Allen were in need of a rest so why the hell does he bring them on with 20 or so minutes to go, when we're 3-0 up and have another game in a few days?

You have to question the managerial ability of someone who chooses to play Berbatoss upfront on his own.

It wasnt even a foul, Shorey just stood still obviously barry is going to try and win the header. Take it on the chin Reading you was unlucky but the goal was fine.

Gutted, finally home and reflecting on us being utterly terrible against Sunderland. Gave them exactly one chance which they took, made all the wrong substitutions then failed miserably.

We stuck on Steve De Ridder, a L1 winger, who looked like a 15 year old kid out of his depth after 5 mins and left on a completely ineffective Gaston Ramerez. not the first time Adkins has gotten it wrong but it is the first time we have just shown up how lacking we are on the wings, have one good player out wide (Lallana) and everyone else is really hit and miss.

Such a pain as 3 points today were key :(

Should have taken a point, should have played properly and admitted our failings of who wasn't working. Gaston was useless, Punch no better (sell for 2m to anyone), Kelvin Davis made some good stops but refused to take his time with kicks (giving the ball away a lot) and just a generally wasted day at the office.

Not pleased but thankfully the 3 teams below us lost.

How was West Brom's first goal ever allowed? Firstly it was their player that headed it out so it shouldn't have been a corner, then Odemwingie fowled Bunn to stop him from catching the ball.

Like usual we get done over by the refs just because we're not a big team.

why does Pards keep playing perch instead of marv? He the only one that can attempt to fill cabaye shoes in a playmaker role?

God knows.

Percherino can do a job sitting I front of the back 4 but little else. Marveaux has an attitude problem but he has proven he can play when given a chance. I'd like to see him start a few and see if he can do it for 90mins.

Ok so again we win due to a penalty, nothing too great about that victory over Wigan. Was hoping that we would have thrashed them but to beat them via a penalty isnt exactly awe inspiring. But as usual Wenger still believes the squad has great belief etc etc:p

Meh 3 pts is 3 pts so cant complain, but not exactly how i like winning games with penalties. Bit like the WBA game where we had 2 penalties to win when looking back on that game, i was shocked that WBA didnt beat us because we looked utter turd.

I didn't think Arsenal had a great record at Wigan? I don't think any teams have gone there and had it easy, you should be happy.
