Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 26th April 2016]

Spurs will draw tomorrow night and lose at the bridge.

lol, no.

WBA lost 4 of the last 5 scoring all of 1 goal, including getting beaten by Norwich and Watford. They aren't getting a draw tomorrow night, not with Spurs in the form they're in.

If you do think that, i'd recommend putting some money on, should get decent odds.

Not necessarily arsenal fans but remember there being a few Giroud defenders (like ridiculous praise), failed to score in 19/20 games, did Torres even manage that at Chelsea?

Any change of opinions?

its true. all leicster fans will be quiet next season

All 1 of them :p

It's probably true though. Suddenly appeared out of nowhere when Leicester had something of a whiff of a chance at the title, won't have the same fairytale run next year and they'll disappear again. Probably finish 7th or 8th, won't be able to cope with Europe as well.

Theo Walcott is the Forrest Gump of the football world. Run THEO RUN !!!

The guy has no brains. Absolute turkey of a modern day footballer.

Mahrreeezzz!!! Delicious composure.

How about when Kaboul pushes Welbeck over, he can get to the ball and completely pulls out of the challenge. Complete and utter pussy.

Yup on Walcott, the way he jumped out of that challenge sums up Walcott's entire career. He is a giant pussy, Kaboul didn't go in studs showing, he hadn't launched himself in, he just put himself in the way. Walcott could have tried to at least poke it. One of the things that makes Suarez successful is determination, he would have kicked that ball regardless, maybe it comes off Kaboul and goes out for a corner, maybe it rebounds behind him for Walcott to then shoot straight at goal, you don't know till it happens but with Walcott he gives up before anything even happened.

He gives up on everything, he's weak, pathetic, has no footballing brain. Who was it that got crap from Wenger for calling him braindead like 5 years ago, it was clear after 3 years that he was an awful footballer who happened to be fast and nothing more. Should have absolutely cut our losses then, looked to sell him or just not renew the contract instead he's got a massive pay rise to play this badly the whole time.

Wenger can't cut ties with players, he's too involved and no where near objective any more. I said it long before Poch took over at Spurs, what we needed was almost any objective manager to come in and clean house of the absurdly wasteful players like Walcott. Even if that manager isn't great their objectivity will see the Walcott's and anyone like him shoved aside (or out if possible). Poch has just done at Spurs what I've wanted almost any manager to do at Arsenal for 5 years, come in with fresh and objective eyes with no real relationships with the players and clear out the crap.

Laughably earlier this weekend Wenger said he's unsure of Walcott's future, I'm sure, absolutely no team will match or beat his current deal so he won't leave till it's done. We're stuck with him till it's done.

The goals don't matter, winning does and being involved, if he hadn't scored but his game was great and he was helping to make lots of goals with his work and ability woo.... but that is and always was his problem. When Henry didn't score for several games he was still an exceptional footballer, a constant threat and complete ability to work for the team to create danger for himself or others. Giroud lacks most of the all round game, he's a tap in artist, barely dangerous outside of 8 yards, awful on the ball. He makes some nice flicks but in between that he's running out to the wing and completely inept.

Several times today he went wide to get the ball got pinned in and couldn't execute a 5 yard pass backwards successfully but worse is there was literally zero chance for him to beat one of those players then run at goal. Henry, Suarez, Mahrez or Vardy, these are guys that trapped against the byline have the ability to beat a player. You don't have to every time but Giroud is completely awful can't dribble, poor longer passing, poor longer shooting.

He always was incredibly limited, to win titles you need strikers who can create on their own, they don't have to all the time but being part of their game means it doesn't always fall on everyone else. He is the fox in the box Wenger always wanted but nothing more.

blimey another one!

i'm only really concerned about chelsea seems they're only ambition now is to aid leicester so they'll show up against us and put out a B team against them

I've posted in here a while, not as often as some. Posts about Leicester haven't generated much discussion prior to this season though.

Spurs will draw tomorrow night and lose at the bridge.

Spurs are going to win all 4 of their remaining games, meaning Leicester need to beat 2 of Man U, Chelsea, Everton.

Still in their own hands, but that's a tough ask for Leicester.

I've layed Arsenal at 1.17 for a top 4 finish. Very short. They still have to play Man City away and if Utd win their game in hand, they'll only 2 points behind.
