Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 27th November 2019]

I'm so sick of Ole now, the man is totally out of his depth and I just don't care for him.

We need to act now and get Poch in while he's available. I know he hasn't actually won anything (like that matters at the moment), but he's good at building a team and is an infinitely better manager than Ole.

So what happens if you get him in and he ends up failing just like Ole and Mou previously??

What if he does? You have to stack the odds in your favour and sticking with Ole is an odd gamble to take.
Well then that’s good for you lot if he does but I asked what if he fails?? Then who is next on your hitlist to get in to sort your glaring issues within your team??

I think poch would do ok at united but i dont think well sack ollie woodward has played a blinder in one way by giving ollie the job as the fans wont turn on him as hes a legend so he's a shield and woodward knows this plus woodward is the problem until he goes were stuck

Depends entirely on who is available at the time I guess, like with any appointment.

The fans won't aggressively turn on him, but they haven't really done that with any of our managers so far. They're already voicing serious concerns.

We know Woodward is another issue but just from the football side of things there's a managerial problem.

I totally agree with you ollie is out of his depth poch is a better manager by far but woodward will dither and poch wont be available when he does sack him also the football side of it won't be sorted whilst Woodward is there there is no midfield options for any manager but if I'm not mistaken we have spent about 60 million net the last 3 summers i think thats what i read yes we bought 3 players in but we also sold players and we need more spending to put it right to get top 4 let alone challange liverpool and city

I don't think they'll ever fully turn on him, not in the ground anyway. They didn't turn on Mourinho afterall and he didn't just have them in midtable but he was also a massive **** and not a club legend.

Ole does appear to be out of his depth but in terms of players there's not been a huge difference. Fred, on occasion, looks almost like a professional footballer now. If he can actually get Pogba interested and playing they could start a move up the table. Daniel James seems good, although a little raw and certainly not out of his depth. There's potential there, it just depends on how they can get the players playing.

We went into the season a little light on backups and we've been heavily screwed by injuries. I don't think Ole has been great but he's had a pretty **** hand to deal with.

Tottenham sacked Pochettino for Mourinho, United sacked Mourinho and now want Pochettino. The smell of desperation of a failing club. When Ferguson left all of the United fans were talking about how they stick by their manager unlike Chelski etc, what happened? like I said at the time it's easy to be your loyal to your manager when you've spent decades dominating English football under him.

In fairness to Solskjaer at least he is trying to bring through youth, unlike Mourinho who was fielding/signing older players for short term success. You just have to trust in Solskjaer's long term plan and stick with him otherwise you might as well have just kept Mourinho.

I disagree. Ole has completely gutted the team and we are playing with all youngsters. This season we get to see who are worth it and who are not. Even Chelsea still have their spine and senior players. We do not really have any super stars anymore either. Pogba hasn't played since September. Tactically Ole has been good against the big team and the changes he made yesterday were good and needed. He realised Jones was a liability and took him off which never happened under Jose.

The fact he had to completely change it half time suggests he isnt good tactically at all. It was changed at HT and you then conceded again within 7 minutes. The only "kid" that started yesterday was Williams.

Ole is completely out of his depth.
