Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [23 - 25th February 2013]

Up in to the playoffs now, with a game in hand on most teams around us. Could be an epic game against Palace next month! We did not play well at all today, but got the result. Slightly worryingly, new guy Ulloa looked a bit off, though obviousky he needs time to settle. Once again Kuzsczak was immense!

I have to pinch myself every time I see Vicente playing for us:p... He is a class above everyone else on the pitch at this level. He ran the game again today. Has totally lost any pace he may have had after his injury though.

PS. Bristol City banging the goals in!... By far the worst team I have seen us play this season. They have improved drastically.

DM.

u said how wilshere is our only player that can single handedly win us a tuff game. well it seems carzola steppped up and did it for us today and villa were no push over today i heard.

what are your thoughts dm? can carzola be a good player for us, a player that can make a difference?

Why do you have a dupe account?

The mighty Sheffield Wednesday won again .

Poor game, scrappy without much quality. Palace were pretty terrible bar the first fifteen minutes of the second half and Holloway's game plan / tactics were really poor.

Is this the same Rafael that fergie was dropping from big matches to play smelling etc simply due to his height?

He's a decent player alright but there are question marks around his concentration now after there used to be questions around his temperament.

I presume you have a gk playing :D

He's not been anywhere near his best this season and his arrogant attitude makes it even more frustrating. Might have something to do with the lack of competition, when was the last time we had someone other than him in goal?

Our defence gets loads of stick but as they just showed on MOTD, the midfield offer absolutely no protection. We need a proper DM, Arteta/Diaby/Wilshere/Ramsey are not natural DMs and it keeps costing us.

Only time ive seen someone else in goal is when he wa injured earlier on in the season. But definitely this season, hes not at his best and as i said before, it doesnt help that the midfield cannot protect the back 4. It was something the commentators were saying yesterday while i was watching the game, that its pretty dangerous the way Arsenal play and one of the reasons why they concede so many goals.

One thing is for sure we definitely need a proper DM in the squad, something that Wenger needs to fix in the summer along with getting another RB as Sagna is now more or less on his way out.

Personally i thought our best players on the pitch yesterday were Jenkinson and Carzola, thank **** he scored both our goals. Was disappointing to see Giroud miss a handful of chances again :(....didnt think Wilshere had a great game yesterday, made a few mistakes and going forward? we look disjointed ie slow the play down, let the opposition team get back then we struggle to score goals. Remember the good ole days when we went forward and scored at will. Now we look slow, disjointed and lazy at best.

We had Song last season and he did not really do a great job in DM either :(

We need a natural DM in our team.

Should be a good game, hoping for City to lose in the 98th minute and Mancini's toys to once again vacate his pram...
