Arsenal did look better than before tbh, definite progress as Neville has said. Lacklustre finishing kept it from being humiliating

Pepe looks good, Auba is far too quiet in these situations.

Who'd have thought David Luiz would have cost Arsenal goals? Shocked.

As for Liverpool, steady first half but we showed our class in the first 25 mins of the second half and blew Arsenal away. We really need to shake this complacency off in the final 1/4 of games though - in each of our first 3 games we've got ouself into commanding positions and looked like we were going to kick-on and score 2-3 more goals but ****ed about and ended up conceding sloppy goals.

Starting XI really didn't help the cause, but the odds of this being one of the 0 out of 3 points fixtures this season were nailed on before a ball had been kicked... alas it's Spurs at home next so better hope Emery can pick more balanced lineup. Luiz gonna Luiz but over the course of a season he'll make less mistakes than calamity Mustafi; it's not much of an upgrade but it'll have to do for the time being.

All over the world...
Interesting game, didn’t think we had enough to beat them but was hoping for at least a draw.

Luiz is lolworthy but he’s bound to make some stupid mistakes. Much better than that muppet Mustafi though.

Liverpool fans being their usual insufferable selves is quite amusing. Still early in the season and I still don’t think you have enough quality to beat City at the very least:p. Best hope Salah doesn’t get injured either ;).

Arsenal fans have released a DVD and built a statue of Pepe for running past VVD (only to lose the ball 2 seconds later) and it's Liverpool fans that are insufferable? That is some irony there.

When you have fellas on AFTV shouting about how much their front line is better then Liverpool's than you have to expect some stick when it clearly isnt.

I will go out on a whim here and say there is no way Arsenal front line will be better than Liverpool’s over the season. Says a lot where arsenal are when they settle for lest Luiz is better than Mustafi:o

It really doesn't, Luiz is an upgrade on what we have available but he's a short term signing and will likely drop to 3rd or 4th choice next season.
