Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [23rd - 29th October 2015]

Nah, Spurs took it on under Poch and it's taken well over a season to get the players fitness levels up as well as a fire sale to bring in players that can last well over 90 minutes of football without issue.

Once the fitness comes, they will be less gassed on the ball.

If this was just a problem late in games then fair enough but it's from the first minute.

We lack composure on the ball - look at the chance today when Moreno just had to play a 10 yard square pass to Lallana for a tap in but he smashes it straight across the face of goal instead. This is why I suggested leaving Can out - I'm his biggest fan but as I heard somebody say on a podcast, his belief in himself is remarkable but when he bursts forward he has no composure and he ends up running down alleys and losing possession. He's trying to do too much and could do with a spell out of the side. Getting Coutinho on the ball deeper, where he's not always looking for the killer ball or more often a shot will hopefully help him slow down his game on the ball and start getting back to the player we know he is too.

i find klopps touchline antics slightly cringey. from the pumping the air and chest beating when they scored, to the slightly patronising clapping and grinning when they conceded. he needs to pack it in.

Not sure why Klopp is going with Lallana in the middle and Coutinho on the left. Lallana has been pretty ineffective there so far and although Coutinho is probably better able to cope with being on the left, surely we're better off with him in the middle? He's gone missing in the last few games because he's just not able to influence the game in the same way and Lallana has just toiled so far, cruyff turning his way sideways across the pitch.

Sounds like I picked a good weekend to be away, dull draw?

Not the worst game but not a belter. City were set up quite defensively which isn't massively surprising without Silva and Aguero. We played pretty well but relied on Rooney to do something up front which isn't going to happen against anyone half decent anymore.

That's what makes him such a character on the touch line  I hope he doesn't change the way he reacts to everything on the pitch, as I said that's what makes him what he is.

Chelsea fined £25k for the weekends antics.

What a pathetic fine that is in the grand scheme of things. They either need not bother with such punative fines or rmap them up considerably.

Likely to miss the Liverpool game now. Normally that would be a good thing but with the meltdown he's currently going through, maybe not.
