Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [24 - 28th November 2012]

Everton need to regain some form and get back to winning ways. Hoping for 3 or 4 goals against Norwich.

That's surely a bit optimistic considering Everton are without Fellaini and we've kept 4 clean sheets in the last 5 including games against Utd and Arsenal. We're pretty solid now but it has certainly come at the expense of lacking goals at the other end.

After wiping the floor with spurs and comfortably beating Montpellier I fully expect us to put in a lacklustre performance against Villa and either draw or lose the match.

It wouldn't surprise me, or we'll go 1-0 down early on, then somehow manage to win all the while playing crap, just not quite as crap as Villa. Wenger will say the squad has an unbelievable spirit and mental strength. :p

Haha this is just getting silly now. O'Shea thought he was off, but it was Shane Long booked for diving even though he didn't dive.

You forgot "great character" :p

Sod it, prediction 3-1 The Arsenal. (I was right in my Spurs prediction :D)

EFC XI: Howard, Jagielka, Baines, Heitinga, Distin, Naismith, Oviedo, Hitzlsperger, Osman, Pienaar, Jelavic

Subs: Mucha, Duffy, Hibbert, Gueye, Barkley, Vellios, Kennedy

Norwich XI: Ruddy, Garrido, Bassong, R.Bennett, Whittaker, Pilkington, Johnson, Tettey, Snodgrass, Hoolahan, Holt

Subs: Bunn, L.Bennett, Tierney, Howson, E. Bennett, Morison, Jackson

Absolutely ridiculous dive, poor referee, but then Long shouldn't have been carded and in most situations O'shea should really have gotten his second yellow. Sunderland really do suck balls under O'neill, they had a short term morale type boost to form, but quickly got back to their Brucie form, and just being rubbish.

I did say though, their interplay was better, Bendtner was under rated, he was involved in plenty of the goals he didn't score or assist by holding it up very well or playing peole in behind. His movement was good helping make space for others and he worked well with Larsson as he was good in the air, strong and pushed defenders around. Bendtner was significantly more important to the team than Segnesson and while Fletcher is a good finisher, he doesn't bring an awful lot to the team and certainly doesn't tie that attack together at all.
