Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [24 - 28th November 2012]

Well QPR defending a lead is a joke, but you could see how well they did against Arsenal, against other teams and Utd, get a lead, sit back and teams fall to pieces. Its a mentality thing, QPR just play like a team that aren't EPL quality and think they have to defend a lead, they have that losing mentality. They play well, they've put in 6-7 really quite decent performance, but fallen to pieces at the end.

Baines deserved a goal, epic run he went on.

Anderson is still rubbish, the odd good performance doesn't change the overall quality of a player, and QPR were ALWAYS going to collapse, Fergie could have gone on for Young and Utd would still have turned it around, Utd have turned around games without Anderson on. Pretending the turn around is about Anderson is daft when you can see Utd have done it all season long and Anderson hasn't played much.

Arsenal; Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Chamberlain, Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud

Subs: Mannone, Sagna, Vermaelen, Wilshere, Coquelin, Arshavin, Gervinho

Aston Villa: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Stevens, El Ahmadi, Westwood, Bannan, Weimann, Agbonlahor, Benteke

I refer to Anderson in a comaparive sense, not to the best in the world, but to the best at man utd.

Thusly someone who does a bit of running, gets an assist etc is a relative godsend.

Its just nice to see some movement in the centre of the pitch, while Anderson might not be in the greatest form, since he's come on there has actually been pace and forward movement options. Something that's rarely see in recent years.

Nice to see a bit of rotation at the back, I don't really rate Gibbs that highly but Vermaelen is better as a CB and Santos is utterly dreadful so the longer he stays out "injured" the better. Good to see Jenkinson getting a start too, I think he grew into the role really well when Sagna was out. Not too sure on Ramsey starting ahead of Wilshere, but at least we'll have a game changer on the bench for a change, and at least Ramsey won't be starting on the right wing. If Agbonlahor was actually good at football then I'd be scared at the prospect of him vs Mertesacker but fortunately he's **** so we don't have to worry. :p
