Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [24 - 28th November 2012]

Anderson is leagues ahead of Scholes/Giggs. His first instinct is always to look forwards, he's not afraid to run at the opposition. Too many of our other midfielders will just pass it sideways or backwards. Anderson probably has a lower pass accuracy but that's because he actually tries to do something, and he creates chances.

How come the likes of Granero and Hoilett aren't starting for QPR? Surely they're better than what they have out there.

Not entirely sure, they have been and both have looked amongst their better players, Hoilett's first few games were, meh, the last few before that last game were pretty decent performances.

Either the assistant/whoever is taking control of the game today, or Redknapp has seemingly decided experience like Derry was required over actual quality like Granero.

For me there are two ways to improve a team like QPR, quality players given time, and losses, to play together and improve, and QPR were. Or throw in the experience and gritty/physical players, and pray for results... but realistically the team won't ever improve doing that. Someone chose to go for grit today, rather than quality. We'll see which way Redknapp goes.

Copy and past my verdict from the Villa game, **** performance but did just enough in the end. Fergie needs to start players like Anderson and Cleverley, not rely on them to save games.

Players like Young and Welbeck have not put in a single good performance this season, they need to buck their ideas up or be sold.
