Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 27th Feb 2012]

Christ. I pointed out something I thought was funny, and then made a joke about it. That was it.

If you're having some knicker-twisting argument, don't drag me into it. Next time I'll remember that football is SERIOUS BUSINESS for you.

Well in that case I'm sorry, was trying to have a decent debate about football and thought your comment was just a sly attempt at mockery.. Sadly your humour got lost in the interwebs on its way to my computer.. :(

I was trying to prove to some fool that large amounts of the Man United squad is over-priced/rated.

They bought in "king" kenny who spent plenty on "good" players to try and buy them success, and yet they are still pretty much a one man team.. Plus I do strongly dislike Liverpool due to having a friend who supports Liverpool always boasting about when they were kings of Europe, and the way the club/fans have reacted to the Suarez/Evra saga..

A one man team in what respect? Gerrard has been out a lot of the season. Suarez has missed 8 games. Most people agree that they are our two best players.

We've got one of the best defences in the league (behind only City), something which neither Gerrard nor Suarez impacts on.

Yes, there are issues at the club, and a number of players have taken a long while to find their feet, although I'd argue that Carroll and Downing have both started to play better lately.

It's a rebuilding job though, and you're calling the club an embarrassment as it hasn't successfully rebuilt its squad in half a season.

Fair play on disliking the club if you've got mates who are idiots though. None of my Utd-supporting friends are utter nutjobs about it :p

dont know why so many people ruled out cardiff tbh, their manager is also Scottish and also played for Celtic.

Dalglish, Lambert, Mackay, Moyes, etc all from the same background and doing well

John Collins is Scottish and used to play for Celtic and he was a god aweful manager!

Our last couple of games he's seemed kind of hesitant/nervous, but usually he's a very strong and competent player.

I'm not saying he's bad at all, and he's one of the best left-backs around at the moment. He does seem to make mistakes though, more frequently than others.

Argh, Agger :(

Something about Glasgow though, an awful lot of successful managers come from there. Aren't there more managers from Glasgow in the Premiership than Englishmen?

6 I think, SAF, Kean, Moyes, Lambert, McLeish and Dalglish. Only 4 Englaish managers in the Prem
