A one man team in what respect? Gerrard has been out a lot of the season. Suarez has missed 8 games. Most people agree that they are our two best players.
We've got one of the best defences in the league (behind only City), something which neither Gerrard nor Suarez impacts on.
Yes, there are issues at the club, and a number of players have taken a long while to find their feet, although I'd argue that Carroll and Downing have both started to play better lately.
It's a rebuilding job though, and you're calling the club an embarrassment as it hasn't successfully rebuilt its squad in half a season.
Fair play on disliking the club if you've got mates who are idiots though. None of my Utd-supporting friends are utter nutjobs about it![]()
I understand that Gerrard and Suarez are your best players but at the moment everytime Liverpool get the ball, they are trying to pass it to one of the two, regardless of where they are. Good example a few mins ago where Carroll got the ball in a good posistion, instead of trying to press forwards himself, he turned round and played it back to Gerrard.
I agree it is a rebuilding job, but the newer players need to step up as they all seem to scared to do anything but pass the ball to Gerrard and Suarez.
Downing has got lots of pace and a cracking left foot and Carroll is very good at heading the ball(when he gets near it). So Downing should be sticking out to the left wing to cross the ball in, and create space in the middle for Suarez and Gerrard, instead he is far too central and constantly giving the ball to Suarez/Gerrard instead of running at the defence and it is cramping the team. Surprised Bellamy is not playing, he did very well against Man City..
