Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 27th Feb 2012]

As far as I'm concerned winning to gain momentum for a push for fourth is far more important than winning to gain a trophy today. If we lose I think that'll end our chances for a Champions League place.

I want to win today because football is about winning trophies. In 10 years time you're going to remember winning a trophy (even the League Cup) more than qualifying for the CL (unless you go on to win it the next year).

Don't get me wrong, CL qualification is hugely important but it's importance is to help build towards future success but if you don't have that success, CL qualification is simply about money and that shouldn't concern fans.

Exactly well said! Id rather look back in our history and see more trophies than saying "well for 5 years in a row we finished fourth.."

QPR v Fulham.... lol what the ****?! How have QPR not scored a goal?

Loving Goals on Sunday at Wembley today.

STARTING LINE-UP - Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto; Kranjcar, Modric, Parker, Bale; Adebayor, Saha.
SUBS - SUBS v ARSENAL - Cudicini, Dawson, Rose, Lennon, Sandro, van der Vaart, Defoe

Lennon on the bench, which means Arsenal will double/triple up on Bale making him ineffective until about 60 mins when Lennon comes on.

I think Arsenal will dominate the first half, possibly 2-0 up. Spurs to come back in the 2nd half and nick a draw with VdV and Ade scoring.

Let's see Arsenal fired up for a change, a bit of (controlled) aggression wouldn't go amiss. with RVP in the side we can always score as long as the service keeps coming which is something we've really struggled with. If Spurs turn up thinking they've already won then that could backfire on them, it'll be close imo, too close to call even though Spurs are pretty much everyone elses favourites I'm not so sure it'll be that easy for them.

Gonna miss the game but i hope Arsenal can beat Spurs today...would be a very welcome win for us but ill take a draw at worst.

I reckon Spurs will beat us but will be a close match.
