The commentator didn't know that in the opening 3 minutes when he praised him about 9 times for doing sod all.

Carrick hasn't been noticeably bad or good today, he's played lots of his safe passes back to defence, made a couple of good tackles, but then given the ball away easily a couple of times as well.

I assumed he was going to miss it tbh based on the fact that eleventy billion penalties that should have been aren't given at Old Trafford so one of the first that isn't deserved, that is given, would be missed


I can almost understand the linesman because Arfa has just touched the ball and from the side it might be hard to tell that it wasn't Arfa who took it away from goal, the ref should have seen the two different touches and the direction changes though. POor decision all around.
