Sturridge has to play but who partners him? Benteke has held the ball up very well and could strike up a real partnership but Ings is awesome.

It was shocking defending all round. Lucas has to do more to stop the cross, Sakho then dummy's it at the near post and Can completely loses his man.
I mentioned after the game that Sakho had a poor game today. At fault for both goals and was comfortably beaten by Richards at 2 corners that could have cost us.

Regarding Martial, I thought the transfer fee was ridiculous. He has been surprising and i'm pleased he has the start he has had, but i'm going to give him at least a full season before I make a judgement.
Indeed, I didn't think the EPL standards would fall much lower than last year but it's looking that way. Some terrible football and consistency in the top teams this year.
It's more the fact other teams in the PL can spend 10 mil on a player and not really be too worried about finances. Everton spent 30m on a striker. You could never of dream of that type of money 5/10 years ago. The league is proper competitive because of all this money rather than the whole league being turd.
It's making things more exciting though. You can never be sure who's going to win a match at the moment.
It's also a bonus for me as a Palace supporter because we are doing pretty good so far
But the inconsistency will likely mean we lose a CL spot
If we had a winter break, we might do a bit better in the CL.
Whilst I agree we should have a winter break if we're not performing well in the CL then we deserve to lose the extra spot.
It's a shame but the last few years have been disappointing.
As for the Prem, I think it's fantastic so far. I'd rather there be a lack of consistency because it would be boring otherwise.
They should hold European tournaments at the start of the season, English clubs are at a big disadvantage because they can't afford to play the majority of their league games in 1st gear, or rest 10 players a few days before a European fixture and still win. Fatigue will be a factor towards the end of the season.
There's no excusing how pants our top teams are at the moment though, still it doesn't really help when you have two extremely wealthy Spanish clubs (at the detriment of the rest of their league) poaching any player who shows any signs of being world class for ridiculous amounts.
