Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26 - 27th October 2013]

Someone put on Toon 5-0 at 225/1. Bit silly but 5-1 again....

I don't why I'm confident when we have no Colo at their place with a new manager bounce, in fact putting it that way..... :(

I've got faith!

I'm off on holiday this afternoon, I doubt I'll be able to watch the game tomorrow so I'll leave this here:

Howay the Toon!

Don't get me wrong I expect us to win this one comfortably, I just reckon it might not be all as straightforward as Yas is making out. :p

I wasnt entirely being serious about us winning this game easily, i would hope we do but we probably will struggle till the first goal goes in. Just hope we are the first to score and the floodgates open.

Palace: Speroni, Ward, Delaney, Gabbidon, Moxey, Jedinak, Dikgacoi, Bannan, Thomas, Guedioura, Chamakh. Subs: Price, Mariappa, O'Keefe, Puncheon, Kebe, Bolasie, Gayle

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Flamini, Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla, Giroud. Subs: Fabianski, Monreal, Vermaelen, Wilshere, Rosicky, Gnabry, Bendtner.

Barry Bannan lol

yay, coming up to a run of games that is Chelsea(cup),Liverpool, Dortmund, Utd, on top of the preceding two games against Norwich and Dortmund we rest players against....... no one.

Brilliant, as per usual. So Bendtner has actually looked good cup and his sub appearances, don't rest Giroud, don't rest Ozil because he's important. Palace are terrible, Norwich are poor, those two games at the minimum were games we could rest people in, and absolutely no need to rush Flamini back. Chelsea in 3 days, Liverpool 4 days after that, sure, start the best first 11 you can against Palace. This is why our seasons fall apart every year come Feb/March, because every other team in the league except Arsenal will rest players here.

Wenger always says this crap about "he doesn't look tired, I'll rest him later if/when he gets tired" while every other manager/team in the world rest players to stop them getting tired in the first place. When you're tired/overtrained you get more injuries.

Supposedly partrage said colo has an outside chance of playing, I'm dreading it all we had to do was turn up last time and they would roll over and look how that finished, I would snap your hand off for a draw right now!

Would have preferred to play Holloway's Palace but hey ho.

Good thing Palace have the giraffe up front... we need to score first which should restore normality.

Palace really playing well now, and slightly unlucky not to score on at least one occasion

Hope they can find the same level of energy for the next 45, but it will be tough

It has certainly been more interesting since Palace decided to start playing football.

Not that they look too dangerous. Thomas - Chamakh - Bannan is probably the worst attacking threesome in Premier League history.
