What was Giroud doing looking for a foul there rather than just ruddy passing it. Incredibly lazy performance by Arsenal.

Should be a red as from what I could see the guy in the middle of the partk was a Palace player who was faster than everyone else so he could pass that in to a Palace player through on goal.
To be fair the contact was more accidental than absolutely on purpose, it wasn't cynical but ultimately still took him down and cost a goal scoring chance. But the position we let an ultimately really quite slow striker to get into, was the brainfart part of it, not so much Arteta.

Owen thinks he would've got there in a blink of an eye had it been him. Does he not remember how much pace he didn't have near the end of his career?

Regardless of situation, what is Arteta actually being sent off for?... Kind of tangling with someone? I find it incredible that someone can look at that and believe he should be sent off.
PS. I've not seen many worse strikers than Chamakh recently!

Not sure how the two are mutually exclusive. If you get past the last man, then surely it's an opportunity to score.

Lol, I'd have been quite peeve'd with Giroud if Chesney hadn't saved that second one, as Chesney still got it I just find it funny that Giroud seemed to be thinking about saving it himself
They gave the corner for that first one so assume it was a save but both replays I saw it wasn't obvious, very slight if so I think, both fantastic shots.
