Really? I agree with Merson actually. You can't send out that Arsenal side and ask them to "play" against Utd. You need to get them stuck in, and give them a proper game.
 
As excellent as Rooney was, Young was right up there with him.

He never stops running, crossing, cutting inside and shooting. And what a shot he has. Superb stuff.

I wonder what this will mean for Arsenal, will Arsene go? It's not just this result, it's his lack of transfer dealings and vision for the club. Arsenal need saving.

Some of it is I suppose. The training and mentality, but even if Arsenal played 11 behind the ball they still would have let in as many.
 
Indeed Maj I can't wait to hear what they all have to say. Might have to buy a paper tomorrow just to read their views on the match will be comical :D
 
I really can't believe it 8-2 :p

I was going to bang on about Newcastles great start to the season but despite being a Geordie I'll shelve it for some Gunner bashing and sone (deserved) ManU praise.

Cannot wait to see Wengers interview :D my money is on him bottling it :D
 
hmm big problem for all teams in the league as united always gets stronger as the season goes on. Sir Alex is looking to build a team to beat barca. barca v united champ league final will be very interesting this season......

Haha, fair point. But realistically, someone like Lee Cattermole would have helped you give Utd a game today. He's not a good player and would probably have got sent off, but they certainly wouldn't have been able to strut around the pitch like they could today if Arsenal played against Utd like that.

Wenger needs to learn to understand when his players simply aren't up to scratch, and try a different game plan.

No it won't, if United played like that with the same players versus Barcelona they would get thumped.
